DAY 1 : Drive to St Lucia from either Richards Bay or Durban.
DAY 2 : Explore St Lucia Village and go on a sundowner cruise on the St Lucia Estuary - home to thousands of hippos, crocodiles, birds and fish
DAY 3 : Leave early from St Lucia and enter the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park through the Mfabeni gate. We head for Cape Vidal 40km north of the village where there are excellent snorkelling possibilities in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Drive through some of the world's highest vegetated sand dunes and on to a game drive in this World Heritage Site with its 5 ecosystems.
DAY 4 : Depart before dawn for South Africa's oldest Game Reserve where the Big 5 roam freely. Hluhluwe-Imfolozi is also the origin of 90% of the world's white rhino population. Experience the splendour of King Shaka Zulu's imperial hunting grounds.
DAY 5 : After a night drive and overnight in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi game park,we head back to St Lucia Village and any one of the following activities are available : Crocodile and Snake Park, Whale watching in season, Cycling, Hiking Trails, Bird watching, Turtle tours in season or simply relaxing in this village with its curio shops, craft markets and 12 restaurants and pubs.
DAY 6 : A day of deep sea fishing. An opportunity of a lifetime with qualified and experienced skippers. This activity is weather permitting and can be exchanged for one of the other exciting options in the village.
DAY 7 : We bid St Lucia adieu after breakfast, and journey on towards Eshowe for an unforgetable visit to an authentic Zulu village, where we will spend our last night together.
DAY 8 : Transport back to Durban/Richards Bay airport, after a quick glance at a part of the world's most untouched continent.
